Georgia Test- 2 big Scrum projects starting up: Doing requirements for Advance Banner integration, plan to use baseline integration, plan to Scrum; also doing a project with a schedulign system -Global ECS, will Scrum this project. Also UG admissions offices are starting up with Hodgsons - planning to not do integration.
Wake Forest - lots of financial aid work at the moment, one Scrum team working on that. Implementing 3rd party Hodgsons for admissions - building some interfaces. Implementing Blackbaud too. Have 2 Scrum teams that work on everything, Steve is Scrummaster over both. Have a backlog for each functional areas - meet regularly with customers. Have a gantt chart so customers know where they fit in with sprints. Sometimes urgent thing come in and bump others. Have daily standups - track tasks Kanban style. Scrum used in development groups. QA group manages system testing. Production support schedules and implements. All groups under same director.
MNSCU - no Scrum things going on at the moment - reorganized. Working on D2L Caltura integration. Piloting late spring - early QA testing. Lots of quick turnaround things, not as conducive to Scrum. Lots of vendor management stuff.
Alaska - First big project using Kanban - student 8.4/8.5 upgrade. Took a few months - Kanban helped for visibility. Only drawback is that customers in other campuses couldn't see the board. Looking at software for this. Student CRM system - looking at upgrading, plan to Kanban.
ND - Scrumming a chart of accounts revision project, and a custom Course-instructor-feedback system. Kanban boards used for 3 support teams. Using Kanban for Box.com project.
Banner 9 integration - various schools starting to think about it, student areas want new grading functionality implemented this summer. Need to figure out impact of mods & interfaces.
Weblogic conversion - ND testing now, Alaska went well.
Henrik Kniberg - Peter follows this guy, good resource for Kanban.
