ScrumU Small Group July 16 2010

Attendees: Wake Forest (Steve), GA Tech (Rich), ND (Tracy)

Wake: New Scrum team formed after Banner upgrade. Finished up 4th sprint recently. Using Google docs spreadsheet for Scrum artifacts - works better for seeing hrs left, if task details change, like it better than stickies. Project during standups, use a laser pointer. Works well for making sure stay to specific tasks/stories rather than general what working on. Use separate spreadsheet for time reporting. Working on process to make sure have clear requirements, using agile specs more. Trying to stick to finishing a story before start the next one. Pair programming has proven effective too -trying out different techniques.

GA Tech: Have a few new certified Scrummasters on team. Working on enhancement efforts. "Rocking and rolling" on sprints. Banner upgarde coming.

ND: Went live with scrum project for Performing Arts Center. Went well - 2 week go live sprint has been a little hairy - keep adding tasks and completing tasks, pretty much a horizontal line on burndown chart. Will have a regroup sprint planning next week to see if we can get back to regular scrum mode. Exploring ideas around Scrum/agile on support side. Project "cell team" is using scrum with about 3-4 concurrent projects.
